TradiHub Pty Ltd (ABN 60 696 594 027, ACN 697 694 027) is the operator of the TradiHub platform. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
We collect information you provide when registering (name, email, phone, address, ABN), information about your use of the platform (job posts, offers, messages, payments), device and technical information (IP address, browser type, device ID), licence and insurance details from tradies, and payment information processed by our payment partner Stripe (we do not store card details directly).
We use your information to: operate and improve the TradiHub platform, verify your identity and trade qualifications, process payments and manage escrow funds, facilitate communication between platform users, detect and prevent fraud and policy violations, send you service notifications and (with your consent) marketing communications, comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We may share your information with: other platform users as necessary to facilitate job connections (e.g. displaying tradie profiles to homeowners), Stripe for payment processing, Supabase for data storage and authentication, government authorities when required by law, professional advisers and insurers, and any successor to our business in the event of a sale or merger. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
To protect platform integrity, personal contact details (phone numbers, emails) shared in messages are subject to our Contact Information Policy prior to job acceptance. After a job offer is accepted and escrow is funded, users are free to exchange contact details. TradiHub does not store or monetise contact details exchanged between users after job acceptance.
Your data is stored on servers located in Japan (Supabase Tokyo region) and the United States (Vercel). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no internet transmission is completely secure.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by Australian tax law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us, subject to our legal retention obligations.
Under the Privacy Act and APPs, you have the right to: access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, complain about a breach of your privacy rights, opt out of marketing communications at any time. We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. We may use analytics tools to understand platform usage in aggregate. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling essential cookies will affect platform functionality.
TradiHub is not directed at persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email to your registered address. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first at privacy@tradihub.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
